Father's Day

Last weekend, for Father's Day, Steve took Caitlin to visit his father. I had the weekend to myself. Yes, it was more like a Mother's Day gift! Anyway, Steve, his dad and Caitlin all went to the zoo. He said they had a great time and I had a great rest!

Caitlin and her Grandpa Clark

Caitlin pointing at the elephant's eye. It's her new thing. She loves pointing at her own head, eyes, and nose and also pointing at ours. We have to watch her 'cause she'll poke us in the eye! She even lifted up my shirt in the grocery store to point at my belly button. AH!

This photo is classic Caitlin! Nose running, tongue sticking out, and mischief written all over her face!

Swimming Lessons

I cropped myself out of these photos. My face had the look of fear and it was not attractive. Don't want the world to see me in a bathing suit either! Maybe next year I'll have lost the weight from having a baby. I suppose since it's been over a year I can't use that excuse, but I'm going to anyway!

You see how so NOT scared she looks. She is so adventurous! She pushes me away and tries to roll on her back. Gosh I love this kid! She cracks me up daily!

While we're on the subject of no fear of water, this is what I was the most shocked by. Caitlin ran into this fountain. Steve chased her and is holding her back from the strong rushing water coming out of the fountain. It was ice cold water, but she did not want to be taken out of it! She's making that face, because she's mad at Steve for not letting her go.

Spoiled!

So, I don't know if people actually read my blog anymore, since I rarely post anything. Hopefully they do!

A couple of weeks ago I looked after my friend's child and she had a pair of crocs, which are the latest shoe fad. I swore I'd never buy any! They look like gardening shoes! Caitlin loved them! She would not give the little girl her crocs back, so I ended up caving in and buying her some of her own. Here they are:

Well, at least they look cute on her. She gets all sorts of complements!

Here she is in a dress my uncle Collin and his wife gave to her. I put her in it for her swimming lessons. It's a great beach dress too! Caitlin takes swimming lessons every Saturday. It was my hope that she would learn not to be such a wild child in the water. She has no fear! So far, she just does her own thing during the lesson. That's ok. It was worth a try!
